Motherland of Nastya Lisovska known as Roksolana, a wife of Suleiman II the Magnificent. It is a beautiful Galitsian town with nice monuments of sacred art. Wooden church of the Holy Spirit (1598) is one of the most perfect samples of the Galitsian folk’s wooden architecture, it belongs to the most valuable sacred buildings of the world and is listed in the world heritage of UNESCO. Now there is situated the exposition of the regional studies museum, which pearl is a unique for its beauty and the only one in Galitsiya in such style a five-leveled Renaissance altar screen (1650).
Also the attention is drawn by the cathedral of St. Nikolas (the 15th century), built in Gothic-Renaissance style and the Gothic-Baroque Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God (the 14th century).
It is a famous climatic health resort which is placed between the picturesque mountains in the picturesque river valley of Prut. Thousands of people admire every year the cascade waterfall “Probiy” (Yaremchanskyi Huk) and the wooden restaurant “Hutsulshchyna”.
It is a mountain ski resort No. 1 in Ukraine where one can be lifted by a chairlift up to the top of the mountain Bukovel (1115m) and from which a great panorama of the chain of the Gorgan and Chornogirskyi mountains is opened.
Ethnographic center of Hutsulshchyna, previously Zhabye which is opening on the banks of the famous Chornyi Cheremosh River, apart of the picturesque Carpathian panoramas it has a lot of other attractions for particular tourists. Here you are welcomed for a concert-excursion in the private Hutsulian museum of household and musical named after Roman Kumlyk. You can get to know about a big Hutsulian love of Ivan and Marichka as well as make photo in the Hutsulian clothes in the hut museum of the movie “Tini zabutykh predkiv” (“Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors”). You can taste Hutsulska brynzda in the museum of the mountain meadow life “Shepherd’s hut”.
Legendary village, “Ukrainian Athens” preserved for us a classic Hutsulian church of the Holy Mother of God (1719) and a hut museum “Hutsulska Grazhda”. Picturesque Kryvorivnya was beloved by I. Franko, M. Grushevskyi, G. Khotkevych, M. Kotsubynskyi, I. Trush and the tens of other eminent personalities and obviously you also like it.
